If only I knew then what I know now...
I wouldn't have wasted so much money on stuff I barely used. And maybe I could have prevented all those adorable "must haves" for my baby from cluttering the garage in sometimes as little as a few months!

Car Seat

I don't want to say too much about car seats, because you really have to get something you feel like your baby is safe in.
I must say that my favorite type of seat has been the convertible car seat. It's one that can be used for newborns up to 40 lbs. When baby reaches one year and 20lbs, you turn it to be foward facing.
Some people may not like the fact that it is not removable like the infant only seats and that's just preference. I've used those too, and my babies would always cry if I left them in one, so I would end up carrying them around anyway. So it wasn't that convenient for me to have an infant seat I could take out when it would just sit there empty while I was carrying the little screamer around.
Other tips for car seats- get a color that's gender neutral (so if your second baby is a boy he won't have the pink or animal print seat) and hides stains well. I also like the car seat covers that are removable and washable.
