If only I knew then what I know now...
I wouldn't have wasted so much money on stuff I barely used. And maybe I could have prevented all those adorable "must haves" for my baby from cluttering the garage in sometimes as little as a few months!

Highchairs

This is the highchair I currently have. It's by Inglesina and runs about $120. I love it because it's not too large and I think it's pretty stylish, which to me is important since it's in my dining room and I don't like my house looking like a day care. The tray is easy to clean. The one con is that the padding does not remove completely so it's difficult to clean underneath it. The rest of the chair cleans easily. It was smaller than I expected (I ordered online) but still fits my child.
In general, when shopping for a highchair some things to remember that it will be in your dining room or kitchen. So if you get get a pastel animal pattern it may not match your decor. If it's too large it will get in the way. Most importantly is the ability to clean it- all parts of it should be wipeable with a damp sponge, and it should be sturdy.
If space is an issue, try a booster seat. As long as you don't mind losing a chair at the kitchen table to the seat. I used to have a baby bjorn seat that was one piece, easily wipeable, and comfortable. There was no tray, the baby just used the table.
